I am trying to setup the link with google drive and follow the insruction as per webpage but when I copy across the link from the settings page in wordpress to the google drive create client ID I get the following error: “Origin URIs must not contain a path or end with “/”: ” is this because the updraftplus link uses the subdir /wp-admin/options-general.php?action=updraftmethod-googledrive-auth

I shortened the link to just the web domain but the test connection failed as the authorisation link is incorrect.

what is the correct Authorised JavaScript origins link ?

    Hi,

    Please ensure that:

    • The ‘Authorised JavaScript Origins’ is set to the URL of the site (e.g. https://www.example.com)
    • The Authorised Redirect URIs is set to the full link given by UpdraftPlus

    Thanks David..

When I copy & paste the URL from the wordpress settings page I get the following error and url is not accepted.

Error from Google API Console: Origin URIs must not contain a path or end with “/”: https://www.aufa.org.uk/wp-admin/options-general.php?action=updraftmethod-googledrive-auth

So not what I’m doing wrong.

    Hi,

I have now re-arranged the steps in the configuration guide to match the newer layout of the Google Project.

    Best Wishes,

Thanks David.. I suppose it’s always good to improve and learn from even stupid errors / mistakes like mine. If I can make a stupid mistake then no doubt someone else will as well.
