Hello,
I am trying to use UpdraftPlus to create a backup to Google Drive and am coming up against:
Have not yet obtained an access token from Google – you need to authorise or re-authorise your connection to Google Drive. (cURL error 7: Failed to connect to auth.updraftplus.com port 443: Connection refused) (http_request_failed)
Log file snippet reads:
0140.446 (0) Cloud backup selection (1/1): googledrive with instance (1/1) (last)
0140.450 (0) Beginning dispatch of backup to remote (googledrive) (instance identifier **** )
0140.596 (0) ERROR: Have not yet obtained an access token from Google (has the user authorised?) (cURL error 7: Failed to connect to auth.updraftplus.com port 443: Connection refused) (http_request_failed)
0140.598 (0) An error condition has occurred for the first time during this jobI have tried following the solutions on this forum such as removing the backup, wiping settings and so on but am still coming with nothing. Do you have any ideas or anything I can provide to help come to a resolution for this?
Many thanks,

Apologies, it appears that the UpdraftPlus Google Drive app is refusing the connection from your site.
Please could you try entering your site’s IP address int the following form:
https://updraftplus.com/unblock-ip-address/Then reauthenticate with Google Drive and attempt a new backup.

What error do you get when logging in to your site? Can you also try asking your host/server admin to check on the PHP error?

Not even using the backup function at all (I have disabled the google drive option now). It seems to me that it is a failure of communication of my server with UpdraftPlus… Will have to look into it in a bit more depth at some point and dig into your source code.
January 28, 2019 at 2:22 pm #342386Bryle CroduaModeratorHi,
cURL error 7 is a ‘failed to connect’ error. The error indicates that the network that UpdraftPlus is attempting to connect to is unreachable. This shows that the connection isn’t being blocked, but is failing to reach the UpdraftPlus.com servers.
Can you try to check with your host please?

BryleJanuary 28, 2019 at 9:47 pm #342557FiavvekParticipantI am seeing “PHP Warning: fopen(photography-portfolio/photography-portfolio.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /srv/birdwoman.net/public/htdocs/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4848, referrer: https://birdwoman.net/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=updraftplus”
I am trying to use it on the Birdwoman.net site as you may have guessed and a different plugin I am using is the photography-portfolio one as that allows us to have a nice gallery.
This is despite me setting the permissions correctly as far as I can tell…

When or where does the error appear? Please can you send us a screenshot? Please use this online tool https://snag.gy/ to take screenshots and post the link here.

Hopefully that screenshot will help clarify things!
