I have run into an issue where the incremental backups seem to be stored on an older full backup, even though a newer one is available.
I have a full backup on December 15th with latest increment on February 12th. And I have a full backup on January 19th, 26th, 29th, February 5th and 12th all of them without any indication that any increment backups were taken.
I can’t get all the items in the screenshot. Instead, I’ve copied the data segment’s HTML and placed it in the following link. I’ve made some small adjustments to remove some private information. I’ve also added the contents of the December 15th log file.
It looks like your scheduled backups contain the “more files” components.
I also looks like you have incremental backups set up for your scheduled backups.
In the screenshot below you should be able to see that the oldest backup is a scheduled backups and the others are manual
The ‘more files’ component could be responsible for this? I don’t actually need that on this site, so I’ve now taken it off.
The other backup sets are also scheduled backups, but the issue is indeed that the incremental backups continue to be related to the December 15th set and are not created based on the newer full backups on Jan 19th, 26th, 29th, Feb 5th, and 12th.
The “more” files is not responsible for this, it’s just how I can tell the backup is from the same schedule.
Can you set your backups back to manual, press save and then setup your schedule again.
Can you then check if the increments are being associated with the correct backup?
