    Hi,
I just added my Google drive to my backup options and Updraft uploaded the backup correctly to Google Drive – but then I noticed, that it deleted the backup from my local server. For various reasons, I’d like to keep it there. Is is possible that Backdraft remains backing up on my local server – and just duplicates the backups to my Google drive for safety reasons?
    Thanks.

    Hi,

Just deselect the “Delete local backups” option from UpdraftPlus > Settings and click Save settings button. See screenshot – https://share.getcloudapp.com/qGuDevmp

    Hi Bryle,

    thanks for the tipp.

If I uncheck the “Delete local backups” – will Backdraft keep ALL backups ever made on my local server? Meaning cluttering the space of my server with old backups?

Currently I’m keeping 2 full backups and 7 Database backups to keep local storage low. This is sufficient for the safety of my content.

    Best

    Hi Werner,

If you have setup the backup retention rule, it will only keep the number of backups you want to keep on your server.
