Hi,
I need to migrate from one server to another. I tried to do it using the “Migrate” option and generate a key on the new installation. The screen doesn’t look like the one described in this tutorial: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-can-i-send-site-data-directly-from-one-site-to-another/
Instead, it looks like this: https://inobscuro.com/dump/updraft-migrate.jpg
I type words into the input field, click on the “Create key” button and nothing happens.
Even after attempting to create the key several times, the message under the field still says “No keys to allow remote sites to connect have yet been created.”Please help, it’s pretty urgent – the only reason why I bought the plug-in is to have a seamless migration without a hassle. I’m beginning to regret my decision as I could’ve done it manually.

How about if you select a smaller key size, e.g. 512 bytes?

August 4, 2016 at 3:34 pm #166748udadminKeymasterHi udadmin,
I tried 1024, still didn’t work, and then decided to switch to Chrome (I was using Firefox before). It worked in Chrome.
I’m not blocking JavaScript or anything, so I have no idea why it didn’t work.August 4, 2016 at 4:08 pm #166768udadminKeymasterNow I have a different problem. My backup stops and doesn’t complete at the uploading step. “Uploading file 1 of 5”, and nothing changes.
I see from the other topics here that the server timeout may be an issue, but which server? The one who created the backup, or the remote site receiving it?

Did you fix the earlier problem?
Can you paste a link to a copy of your backup log, please?

August 4, 2016 at 9:46 pm #166835udadminKeymasterHi David,
I didn’t fix the problem. I have requested a refund for the premium plug-in and migrated my website manually.
Thanks anyway.August 11, 2016 at 9:23 pm #167795RhondaParticipantI had the same problem with the “Create Key” button not responding. However, I was in Google Chrome 52.0.2743.116 to begin with. Switched to Firefox 38.0.1 and it worked. No errors or anything in the JS console of Chrome.

Thanks for the information. We will investigate any incompatibilities that may exist between the plugin and Chrome.

I ended using edge browser where it worked. Weird thing is though, I tried the same thing on my new “Send” site in the same chrome browser window but a different tab and it worked just fine. The two sites “Receive” and “Send” are located on the same Siteground server running the same version of wordpress and php. The only difference between the two sites is that The “Receive” site is in my public folder on the server and is using an old custom built theme. The new “Send” site is in a dev folder and running a current version of X theme.
