    I am a new UpDraftPlus user (Premium) and have a client that had a site that was backed up with WordPress Backup for Dropbox and would like to re-locate it to a new hosting site. The old Domain name has been moved to the new hosting site. What steps are needed to do this using UpDraftPlus?

    Hi Hugh,

    To migrate the WordPress Backup for Dropbox backup into your new site, you will need to:

    • Download the backup file from Dropbox
    • Go to Existing Backups in UpdraftPlus and click ‘Upload Backup Files’
    • Select your backup file (or drag it to the uploader), and it should be automatically uploaded
    • You should now see the backup in the backup list. Click ‘Restore’ and follow the restoration wizard

      • As the domain has been transferred, you should not have to select the ‘Search/Replace database’ option.
