Missing progress bar when performing a backup

Hi,

I’ve noticed that the progress bar no longer works when doing a backup. The backups themselves work, I get progress messages, but I’ve no idea how far along in the back-up I am without that progress bar. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there an update in the works to fix this problem?

Hi Scott,

Can you please provide with a screenshot of the issue?

Also, please could you open your browser’s developer tools (F12 or CTRL+SHIFT+J, and then click the ‘console’ tab), and reload the UpdraftPlus page? Do you see any errors or warnings in the console?

I didn’t see any errors in the console during the backup or after.

Some additional background on this: I manage several websites using MainWP, I do have some admin area branding (css styling), but that has never impacted UpDraftPlus’s progress bar before. I’ve looked through the branding css used on my client’s dashboard area and I’m not seeing anything related to the progress bar. I don’t know if that is related, but I thought I’d bring it up.

This problem showed up maybe a month or two back. I didn’t mention it when it first began because I assumed I wasn’t the only one experiencing this and it would be addressed in an update. I’m thinking I’m probably in the minority on this one however, so I figured I should mention it now.

Hi Scott,

Is the screenshot from the site’s WP Admin, or from the MainWP UpdraftPlus extension?

If the latter, please could you test a backup on the site directly?

The screenshot is from one of my client sites, not the MainWP extension dashboard. It’s from the wp-admin UpdraftPlus page.

I just now started a back up on another website, not connected to MainWP, and I’m seeing the progress bar. I think maybe this is a problem with MainWP’s extension. Sorry to have bothered you I’ll contact them and let them know.
