Multi-Site Backup / Restore

Hi,

Is it possible to:

1. Backup / Restore individual network sites?
2. Can I backup a network site and restore it on a non-network site?
3. Can I backup a non-network site and restore it on a network?

If not, do you have any plans to look into it in future or is there any technique to do these?

Hi Karim,

No, no, no and possibly, but no roadmap. (Sorry to not be more encouraging!). (We once produced code for 3. But, it’s very complex, and requires your plugins to be network-compatible – which not all are… so we expected a lot of support requests – we don’t want to dilute our brand by shipping stuff that people think is faulty, when really the whole idea is rather hackish, because WP wasn’t really designed to do 2 or 3).

If/when we do go for these, probably 1 will come first. But, as I say, no promises or roadmap…
