No Backup

Dear team, since today, 13.03., backups are no longer being created. We would like to update some plug-ins, but after pressing the button “Continue with update” it does not continue. We only have the possibility to download a log. It is not due to the storage space. We have checked this. Do you have any ideas? We would be pleased to hear from you. With best regards

I’m having the same problem. The backup dialog box comes up and nothing happens.

Do you haev caching and security plugins installed? Can you temporarily deactivate and see if you still experience the same issue?

I’ve the same problem since installing the newest version of updraftplus. I’m using wp-optimize, I Just installed the newest version. No backup of database can be regulary initiated on my website https://geraldlanger.de.

On my other website – https://music-on-net.de – I didn’t the update of updraftplus, I only did the update of wp-optimize a few minutes ago. Everything works fine.

Should be a problem in the latest version of updraftplus.

Hope,to get a updraftplus version that works. Is a downgrade of the updraftplus plugin possible?

The problem is probably related to the UpdraftPlus update. No new plugins have been added and it worked wonderfully before. Only the plugins that were already there are regularly kept up to date. And as others have already described here, the info box appears, but no further dialogue appears and the backup does not start.

Agreed LYS. I have a couple of sites with the last version of the plugin and backing up is no problem.

Just to add to this, I think I have the same issue after the last update to Updraft.

I go to the list of plugins, and find one that needs updating
I click on Update now
The ‘Auto backup before update’ pop up appears as normal.
I Click on proceed and the pop up changes to show the last log message.

However it never seems to actually start the backup. Going to the Updraft Plus backups page in another browser window shows that nothing has started. However clicking backup now does work, as does the scheduled backups, it is jut the backup trigger on the ‘Auto backup before update’ pop up which appears broken

Hi,

Apologies for the inconvenience.

I have already reported the issue to our development team and they will release an update soon with the fix.
For the meantime, please create a manual backup first and then update plugins without creating a backup.
