I have a file that i am trying to reinstall.

I was a updraft premium subscriber.

all the files were restored except 1 which produces an error when i am trying to restore the wpcore file. ie.

“This looks like a file created by UpdraftPlus, but this install does not know about this type of object: wpcore. Perhaps you need to install an add-on”

Could you tell me what is going on here?
What is my next step to getting my site restored with UD+

    thanks

    Hi,

What version of UpdraftPlus are you using to restore? The free version of the plugin is not able to backup or restore the WordPress core files.

    Hi David,

Version using is – Version: 2.12.27.0
    My problem is this;
    The posts have been restored.
The images dont display, they are just a placer it appears as i can see the “alt”? descriptive of the image and where the image should have been on the post, but no image itself.

The problem may not relate to the core file therefore? but some other issue.
I am trying to restore the files/site and it seems that its restoring but only the posts without the images

I just tried an older set of files to see if i could get a clean reinstall,
I am also getting this message:
    Warnings:
Warning: This backup set is from a different site – this is not a restoration, but a migration. You need the Migrator add-on in order to make this work.

What this points to is that updraft force old subscribers who may have had a dormant site / backups to PAY for subscription to reinstall their files. Would that be correct?

    Hi,

Please could you send us a copy of the restoration log? This can be found in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of the site via FTP.
The contents will be too long to post here, but you can use an online service such as Pastebin, and post the link here.

The Migration warning is triggered if UpdraftPlus detects a difference between the URL of the current site, and the URL stored in the backup. It can be ignored and the restoration continued.

    Best Wishes,
    David N
