Restore job: 3335e997bf82
For over 4 days I’ve been trying to migrate a site to a subdomain I set up as a test site. Every method I tried failed. Until finally I was able to get the backup files into my destination site via FTP.
I have been restoring the files via UpdraftPlus for the past 10 hours. About every 60-90 seconds, I get the following error message: Unexpected response: security check.
It appears the files have been restoring. Under “final checks” I see every file listed except for one. And when I visit the destination site in a different browser window, I see posts (although no theme or pictures).
I have the WordFence security plugin. I deactivated it but it reactivates itself. Most recently, I got a message from WordFence that my DNS records have changed.
I’m afraid to download the log to see if the final file is actually loading. Especially since I’d hate to lose 10 hours of work just to start over again. But I’ve been up all night closing the security warning and I’m tired.
Can you tell me if it’s likely that my upload is actually working or if it’s hung up and I need to start again? Do I need to delete the WordFence plugin to get this to work (I deactivated my caching plugin per the UpdraftPlus instructions)?
Can you recommend anything to help me finish this process?

To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the restoration log?
You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your site via FTP.
You can send the log file as an attachment or copy the contents into an online tool (such as https://pastebin.com/ )Best Wishes,

I tried to send the log file to the email and got a message telling me the mailbox was not monitored.
I pasted the log file into paste bin. Was not sure how to share the link with you so I just pasted the embed link in at the top of this message.
Thanks! After 5 days trying to resolve this myself, I’m hoping you can help.

It appears that the restoration process is timed out or killed off. This usually happens when your server resources has already reached its limit.
Please ask your hosts/server admin to investigate their PHP error logs. These logs should contain more information on the exact issue that is causing the backup process to halt.
Regards,
