    I am encountering this error when trying to install the Upload Larger Plugins plugin:

    Installation failed: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN”> 500 Internal Server Error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator at [email protected] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    I have tested the FTP credentials using Filezilla and they work properly. Please advise ASAP. Thanks, Del

    Hi,

    This error indicates that there was an internal server error when attempting to install the plugin.
    Unfortunately, 500 Internal Server Error is a very non-specific code, which means ‘something went wrong’ on the server.
    Please could you (or your hosts/server admin) please check the PHP error logs for the server/hosting account? These logs should contain a record of the 500 error with further information available. Once we know the specific cause of the error, we can find a solution.
