Staging Site Migration

Hi David,

I have recently come across two plugins that create staging site for development:

WP Migrate DB Pro

I was wondering if you have any plans to create an updraftplus addon that does a similar job if so do you have any idea of when it would be released?

Hi,

I’m afraid that we don’t currently have plans for a dedicated staging site add-on.
However, the Migrator can be used to create staging sites, and migrate back to live. When creating a backup to migrate, it is now possible to exclude certain database tables (such as posts and users), so they are not overwritten on the new site.
