I don’t get it. I set the back up to go to a 1TB my book live. It set up so I can ssh to it. So on it I did a scp copy of one of the backup zip files a big one. It did it in just less then 3 min. But seems like updraftplus never gets passed 40%. I set the split to like 1GB because I have some big files on there any way over 1GB in size other backups. So it can take big files and I thought that updraftplus would not pause on the next resumption like it all ways does on 2 or the LAN server I tested it with.
Right now it’s at 40%, file 3 of 5 and next resumption: 8 I guess it gives up at 10. It says:
Code:SCP/SFTP upload: attempt: backup_2013-12-25-0000_my_weblog_d30edc3ce07e-uploads.zip (Dec 25 08:07:15)Any way they say a picture is worth a 1000 words here is one of my had copying that file it’s trying to upload for hours and it only takes 3 min on a gigabit LAN line. Well the server I have WordPress on is not a gigabit Ethernet.
Says the file is 839 MB is size. I would think it be bigger then that with all the photos and videos I have on it for years been doing it. That’s why I want to keep it backed up.

December 26, 2013 at 11:49 am #18490udadminKeymasterHi Raymond,
Please can you give me the direct link to the log file of the problematic backup?
If the backup is 7.5GB, then the time to upload to Google Drive is going to be very different to uploading to LAN. On LAN your bandwidth is probably 100Mbps, so the time needed would be approx 7.5*8*1024/100 = 614 seconds. But your WAN bandwidth to Google Drive is likely to be much, much smaller than that.

December 27, 2013 at 9:16 am #18497RaymondParticipantYes. I know the upload speed is a little slow. Way slower then LAN Speed.
I don’t get what you want direct link to the log file. I guess you would need my password to WordPress then? Or what log in to my server with ssh?
What I don’t get why it’s not zipping up every thing. The zip file is just very small to what it should be for the hole uploads folder. It just did another backup last night and a small uploads.zip again.

I’ve replied to this in the other forum thread – can we stick to just one thread?
