Updraftplus unable to update itself

My Updraftplus has not been able to update itself inside the plugin. It used to work and has been updated. I’ve had it installed since January 2016.
It says updating… with the little circle icon going round and round – but just hangs in the browser and won’t go any further. I tried downloading a new copy from my account area and then uploading via FTP, then it wants to update the plugin and when I click on ‘Check for updates’, the same thing happens again, just hangs.

I just updated the Yoast SEO plugin and that went without a hitch.

Can you give me access to the latest version so I can upload via FTP? As the version I install from my account area can’t be the latest version because it keeps saying there is a new version and needs to be updated.
