I keep receiving an error “Warning: A zip error occurred – check your log for more details.”
And when I migrated the site to another host it was missing files and folders specifically in uploads.July 22, 2016 at 10:27 pm #165380udadminKeymasterHi,
Please can you post a link to the log file? Then we can take a look and let you know what we find in it.

It seems that some further permission is needed to view that link; when clicking on it, a message from Google results: “Want in? Ask the owner for access, or switch to an account with permission”.

July 26, 2016 at 10:45 pm #165731udadminKeymasterHi,
It looks like the physical disk that the website is on ran out of free space (not to be confused with web hosting account quota).
It starts off with this:
0000.229 (0) Free space on disk containing Updraft’s temporary directory: 743.2 MB
But then that is eaten up. Is it your own server? You’ll need to clear some more space; or if it belongs to a hosting company, you’ll need to liaise with them.

August 5, 2016 at 4:34 pm #166949Greeley SupportParticipantOK so I worked on clearing space but I am now trying to migrate to another host but it hangs at “Unpacking backup… (backup_2016-08-05-1307_TSIG_Consulting_Inc_912e733d6a35-others.zip, 226.2 Mb)”

August 5, 2016 at 5:35 pm #166953Dee NutbourneModeratorHi,
Could you attempt another restoration, this time only the ‘Others’ backup? Could you then send us a copy of that restoration?
Best Wishes,
David NAugust 5, 2016 at 5:55 pm #166960Greeley SupportParticipantthis is what I get with just Others

I think that you’re on a web hosting package where they both:
a) limit the amount of data allowed to be read/written in a fixed amount of time (this is called “disk I/O”)
and
b) limit the maximum amount of time that WordPress is allowed to run to a low number of secondsAs a result, putting this together means that nothing WordPress is allowed to operate on more than a certain maximum of data at once (equal to the a) multiplied by b). Consequently, unzipping a zip file over a certain size is impossible.
As a work-around, you should restore those particular archives manually, using FTP; i.e.:
1) Unzip the zip file on your computer.
2) Upload the resulting files/directories via FTP to the wp-content directory in your webspace for the destination WP site. That’s all – that’s all that UD is doing when it restores the others; it’s unzipping the zip into the right place. The same goes for the uploads, plugins and themes – they’re just unzipped into a sub-directory of wp-content. All the interesting stuff happens with the database.
Best wishes,
David -
