    Hello.
Love your plugin, but I have slow admin problem for a while. I discover that removing Updraftplus correct the slow admin problem. Seems the problem arise when the server updated to Php 7.0, so maybe there is something not compatible with this Php version in the plugin…
Hard to find where is the problem, because there is no error log, just very slow (could take more than 20sec to change page in the dashboard! Almost instant without updraftplus!).
Do you have an idea where we could start searching?
    Thanks.

If you enable UpdraftPlus, but remove the directory wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/udaddons (N.B. be careful to get that exactly right – there are other similar paths), is it fast again?

Yes!!! Fast again! Do I have to do that on all my website? What is this folder for?
    Thanks.

This indicates that you have a firewall that blocks outgoing network connections by silently dropping the traffic; what’s happening is a timeout with trying to look up the availability of updates. You need to do one of these:

    – Just remove that folder (which will prevent updates checks)
    – Or, change the firewall to explicitly notify that the packet was forbidden, instead of silently dropping
    – Or, change the firewall to allow it

Why does it check on every page load? It doesnt even need to be part of the admin bar or should be limited to its own pages, and then updates pages.
