Hi
just tried to backup my Website. According to the log-file no errors occured. Unfortunately all the created .zip files are filled with the correct folder structure but with no files. All folders in the zip Files are empty.The database .gz file ist obviosly OK. Checked that with an editor.
The log-file says:
0026.360 (0) There were no errors in the uploads, so the ‘resume’ event (1) is being unscheduled
0026.380 (0) The backup apparently succeeded and is now complete
0026.390 (0) Sending email (‘Dateien und Datenbank (Volle Sicherung)’) report (attachments: 0, size: 164.5 Kb) to: info@…
0026.532 (0) Die Sicherung war anscheinend erfolgreich und ist nun vollständigWhat do I wrong?
Help appreciatedBest
Bernd

Please can you provide a link to the full log file for the problematic backup?
It’ll be too long to paste into the forum here, but you can download it to your computer, and share it with Dropbox, or paste it in pastebin.com, or any similar service, and post the link here.

sure –> Log-FileSeptember 8, 2015 at 10:53 am #127507udadminKeymasterHi Bernd,
Please can you take a fresh backup with debug mode (find it in the ‘expert’ settings at the bottom of the ‘Settings’) tab turned on? This logs more information from the zip binary on the server that’s creating the zips.

here the log-file with debug-mode on
Log-File DebugModeSeptember 8, 2015 at 11:04 pm #127621udadminKeymasterThank you. The pattern is strange; there’s nothing logged from the zip binary’s output at all. You can disable that zip engine, and thus force UpdraftPlus to use a different zip engine, by adding this to wp-config.php (near the top):
define(‘UPDRAFTPLUS_NO_BINZIP’, true);
Or, if you’d like me to examine the server more closely, you can send a private reply (in the forum – tick the ‘Set as private reply’ option) and let me know WP + FTP login details, and then I can debug it close-up.

thank you for your help. We solved the issue the hard way. I kicked the old server and took an other one. After migrating the wp installation manually the updraft plus plugin was working as expected – no further issue detectable – all ZIP files created where OK and funtctionable. That old server was a little too weird.Thanks
Bernd
