    Hello,
I am unable to back up my site. It shows ….zip.tmp for each file, but will not complete the backup. Please let me know how to proceed in correcting this issue.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi,

Please can you provide a link to your log file for the problematic backup? (You can download it from the “Existing Backups” tab of your UpdraftPlus settings page).

It’ll be too long to paste into the forum here, but you can download it to your computer, and share it with Dropbox, or paste it in pastebin.com, or any similar service, and post the link here.

    Best wishes,
    David

    Hi,

From the log, it appears that UpdraftPlus is not able to process the files in your plugins directory. It appears that each run is being killed off early.

Please could you contact your hosts/server admin, and ask them to check the PHP error logs for the site? This should contain more information on the issue occurring.

You can also try reducing the backup archive split size. This will split the backup into smaller, more manageable files.
To do this, find the ‘Split archives every’ option in the ‘expert settings’ section of the UpdraftPlus Settings tab. Reduce this value to 50MB.

    Best Wishes,
    David N
