The information on this page relates to the security vulnerability in UpdraftPlus versions 1.22.14 to 1.23.2 (free) and 2.22.14 to 2.23.2 (paid), described at this link. It has no relevance to anything else.
All users with those versions should update; but if for some reason you prefer not to, then you can instead install this plugin:
To install it, download it to your computer. It is a zip file. In your WordPress dashboard, go to “Plugins”, then “Add New”:
Upload the zip file there, and remember then to activate it on the next screen. There are no settings, and nothing else will be shown – if the plugin is activated, then you are protected.
If you have updated UpdraftPlus and are no longer a vulnerable version, then you can deactivate and delete this plugin – it serves no purpose.
