Ability to exclude specific dates and or times for automatic backup

We have certain planned outage dates / times (for server backups / updates / scheduled maintance and the like) during which we would not want backups to run (we have backups set to run daily).  For example, if we have a planned outage on 9/16 we would not want the backup to run that day.  While most backups can be started outside the time window of the outage, the issue is that the times of the outages may vary, but the dates are known in advance.  We would like to add those dates to an exclusion list so that any automatic backups that fall on one of those dates are skipped.
