Uptime Monitoring

The main limitation with backup schedules with Updraft Plus Premium is that the site still has to be accessed for the scheduled backup to go ahead – would it be possible to add uptime monitoring functionality so that scheduled backups are always triggered on time.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback. We might add uptime monitoring to UpdraftCentral in future. It’s unlikely we’d add it to UpdraftPlus directly, as we don’t like to bloat products with things that ar fixing defects elsewhere which aren’t directly to do with backups (this would be to do with fixing problems in WP Cron) and which have existing good solutions – e.g. Uptime Robot. In the meantime I’d suggest you look at one of those solutions (e.g. Uptime Robot).

      So how about that Uptime Monitor in UpdraftCentral? It’s killing me that that function is the only one that UDC doesn’t have. It does EVERYTHING ELSE I NEED FOR MY AGENCY! Halp?!? :)

    This would be great in UpdraftCentral. One of those essential website maintenance offerings.
