It is possible to put any other file/directory to the backup. I need that feature, but for one other directory there are one directory which should be included. That is a “cache” folder.
Therefore it would be fine, if it would be possible to include any other directory, but exclude a subfolder of that additional directory.
Hi,
Adding extra folders is a feature of UpdraftPlus Premium. You can then exclude any files/folders within it using the various available mechanisms: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-can-i-exclude-particular-filesdirectories-from-the-backup/

Hi David,
Thank you for your answer. We have UpdraftPlus Premium. Therefore I asked about that feature. It seems to me you didn’t understand me correctly.
At the moment I’m able to exclude from >>uploads<>wp-content<<, but at the settings for other files/folders, there is no such exclusion. It seems to me, that is not an [Existing feature]…
According to your url, it seems to me there is at the moment a workaround with add_filters, but it fails for me. Maybe I did a mistake. Therefore I will going forward until I write a support request. However, I have a question about that add_filters. If I exclude a folder by this way, is this folder excluded from all folders?
best regards, Andreas
