Back up to new site not working

Hi

I am trying to use a back up from an existing site on a new site to test some updates before rolling them out on the live site.
But it is not working. It constantly breaks at “plugins”.
I even tried cloning the website on one of your servers but this does not seem to work.
Can you please assist via a private message so I can share log files, etc.
