Cannot restore from Azure backups

Receiving this message when initiating a restore from Azure backups:

PHP event: code E_WARNING: fopen(): data:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 (line 450, wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/includes/WindowsAzure/Common/Internal/Utilities.php)

Just caught the response to another, identical inquiry. (Response was buried in my email.)

“The error message you are receiving indicates that a PHP function that UpdraftPlus requires is disabled in your server configuration.

You will need to ask your hosts/server admin to enable the ‘fopen()’ function before UpdraftPlus is able to download the backup files from Azure.

Alternatively, you can restore the UpdraftPlus backup files manually. We have a guide on how to do so here:
