Hello,
I’ve been trying to get local versions of our sites that we can use for testing. Unfortunately, our largest site won’t migrate properly to local. As I mentioned in a previous post here, moving the server still leaves the subsites with the old url, which is a bit inconvenient. It seemed as though I could fix that through the sites page in the network admin panel, but it turns out that doesn’t work on our larger site. I’ve gotten the multisites to load at one point for that site, but I was never able to access the admin panel for those sites. Whenever I tried accessing the admin panel, I was instead brought to a page that told me I’m already logged in. I’ve tried through multiple browsers, as well as clearing the cookies and cache, and I haven’t been able to get to the page.
I’ve also tried to do a global find-and-replace to change the url, using the find-and-replace the extension provides, as suggested by a reply to my last post (https://updraftplus.com/forums/topic/subsite-urls-not-updating-automatically-for-migration/), but that also doesn’t fix the issue. How do I get subsites to work properly on my local site?
Thanks!

Can you please send us a copy of the migration log? I will ask one of our developers to investigate on the issue you are having.
You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your new site location.
Copy the contents into an online tool (such as https://pastebin.com/ ) and post the link on your reply.Best Wishes,

There was also a log file that added the suffix “browser”: https://pastebin.com/GubEfy6AMigrating the uploads folder through the extension would fail (seemingly due to some very long file names), so that was done separately.
This is without applying a find-and-replace in the database. After doing this, changing the subsite urls on the sites page (although I would have preferred them already updated) does allow me to visit the subsites, but I can’t reach their admin panels.August 15, 2019 at 10:06 pm #422948Bradley TannerParticipantUpon trying the site in another browser, it seems my attempt today this attempt actually did work, chrome is having caching issues. I’m not really sure what the problem was before. I’ve noticed the “already logged in” issue before and it seemed to be fixed by a cache clear, but that didn’t fix it the last time I’ve tried it. It did, however, fix it this time. I wonder if it may have had something to do with my reinstallation of wamp, which I did before the most recent attempt.
That said, is there any chance that these urls could be updated with the migration? It’s a bit inconvenient to have to manually fix them every time we push the local database to the server, and it would help mitigate user error (ie forgetting to change them before moving to the server or typing the urls incorrectly would cause the subsites to be inaccessible on production). Even something to automate this process would be nice. The search-replace method I was previously recommended doesn’t seem to be answer, as it would add a lot of extra server downtime, requiring us to wait for a full search-replace every time we want to push our database to the server.
