Clone process?

    I am trying to clone my current website at http://www.paramountexterminating.com to my offline development site. I DONT want to accidently migrate, I just want to copy everything and reload it on my dev page so I can test out different themes, layout, ect. What is the process for doing a clone and then loading that clone to the dev page? Do I just not check the the search and replace option when I update the database or is it more complicated than that? Thanks!

    Hi Eric,

    Please can you explain a little more? In UpdraftPlus, “clone” and “migrate” are synonyms – we use both to mean “make a copy of your site”. The guide for doing that is here: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-do-i-migrate-to-a-new-site-location/

    The search/replace box should _always_ be ticked, if you are importing a database created on a site with a different URL.
