Connection failure when trying to send site

I am trying to send/migrate my site to a new location. Both servers are setup, the ufw firewalls are off on both, I was able to add the receiving key to the sending server in Updraft settings, but when I click on send (or “envoyer” in this case as my sending site is French lang), I am met with the following error:

Test de la connexion

Réponse inattendue : [object Object]

And nothing will migrate. Please help.

Hi,

Please could you open your browser developer tools (CTRL+SHIFT+J or F12 in most browsers), and open the developer console tab?
Then, please attempt a new migration.

Do any errors or messages appear in the developer console? Please could you send us a copy of those errors?

If the migration is time-sensitive, you can use one of the alternative transfer methods to migrate. These can be found in Step 3 of our migration guide:
