could not parse the JSON (502)

I’ve just activated Migration on two sites and I’m trying to migrate from the old site to the new site. When I copy and paste the key and press Add Site on the old site, I get the error: “updraft_send_command: error: UpdraftPlus: could not parse the JSON (502)”

The error happens immediately so I don’t think it’s a timeout issue. Also, I’ve already tried deactivating all the other plugins and still get the same problem.

This is really disappointing since this is the one thing I needed to do and UpdraftPlus is supposed to be able to do this out of the box.

OK, so I just created a new key and tried again. And this time it worked for some reason. I’m not sure why it didn’t work with the first key.
