    I’m having trouble with uploads/media on the server not appearing in the media library. I’m assuming this is because they are somehow not registered in the database? I’m thinking of restoring just the uploads portion of my backup in the hope this will resolve the issue, but I don’t want to lose some images that I’ve uploaded in the intervening period.

    So, if I run the “Restore” function on just the uploads, will that clear out the uploads directory first before reinstalling the contents of the backup uploads folder?

    Hi,

    Yes, UpdraftPlus will overwrite everything when restoring a component.

    What you can do is to manually upload the “uploads.zip” manually via FTP.
