Dropbox backup speed suddenly slowed

    Within the last few days the speed of uploads to Dropbox using Updraft have significantly slowed. This is across a number of different sites and different configurations. The only message showing in the on screen log is “Dropbox: access gained; setting chunk size to: 10240 KB (Mar 13 21:38:21)” for the entirety of the backup.

    Any ideas, nothing has changed with my host or my sites but dropbox backup for even very small sites is abnormally slow.

    Hi,

    The speed of transmission depends on the network conditions in between your webserver and Dropbox. So, the people who can have insight into that, are the people who administer the network routes involved.

    I assumed that also but it seems very odd that it should suddenly change.

    I will test on a different host

    Following testing it does seem to be host specific. Thanks for the assistance.
