I’m trying to migrate a site (actually, two WP installations on one domain, with independent backup targets).

I found the current software uses ‘updraftplus.com’ in the app path, while the older version is using ‘updraft’ – hence the old archives are not visible.

I have a workaround in process, but this created a tedious exploration process and workaround on my end to get the site moved.

This should be documented, or better yet, should not have changed.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

Dropbox recently changed how it authenticates apps, which prevented non-https sites from connecting. To work around this restriction, we updated the Dropbox authentication method.
Unfortunately, this necessitated using a different Dropbox Developer App, and so a different App folder.

You can update previously connected sites to use the new App folder by re-authenticationg with Dropbox. UpdraftPlus will then use the new ‘UpdraftPlus.com’ App folder.
You will have to manually transfer any older backup files from the original ‘UpdraftPlus’ folder to the new folder.

The folder that is being used by UpdraftPlus is displayed in the remote storage settings.

Alternatively, you can configure UpdraftPlus to use a custom Dropbox App that will allow backups to be stored anywhere in your Dropbox account.
Full details can be found here:

    Best Wishes,
    David N
