Error Message When Attempting to Migrate Site

I’m receiving this error message when I attempt to migrate one website to another:

Testing connection…

Unexpected response: Error: Empty response from remote site (empty_response). You should check that the remote site is online, not firewalled, does not have security modules that may be blocking access, has UpdraftPlus version 2.10.3 or later active and that the keys have been entered correctly.

I have reached out to my web hosting company, SiteGround, and they have checked and assure me there is no problem on the server side.

Hi Sue,

An ’empty_response’ error which indicates that the connection is being blocked. Could you (or your hosts) please check the firewall logs to confirm if this is the case?
