Error When Saving Settings Change: updraft_send_command: error: error ()

On a couple of sites I’ve been trying to adjust and save settings for number of local backups to keep and remote storage settings. Each time I make a change and click the save button I get: updraft_send_command: error: error ()

1) No other errors pop up
2) I’ve tried deactivating plugins and that did not help

Anything else for me to try?

Hi,

The usual cause of the error you are getting is a timeout in PHP-FPM. Can you consult your web hosting company to check if that is the case, and what they suggest? (What is the timeout? The default is 60 seconds in PHP-FPM; so the server would have to be hugely overloaded for that… so I suspect there is more to it, but the server admin is the person with the access to find out).
