Hello
I recently noticed an issue with the plugin and google drive.
There are 2 issues.
We are saving more than one site in google drive and sometimes (for the website seejh.com 4 times in the last month) there were 4 separate folders created with the same name https://prntscr.com/utvdiiAnother issue that I encountered is that the plugin for every upload it creates a new folder https://prntscr.com/utvemy although in the settings it is set up as this https://prntscr.com/utvevd
This might be a general bug, I wanted to tell you about it. It does not happen on every site, only on some.
thanks

May I know what version of the plugin are you currently using please?
Can you also provide us a screenshot of your current Google Drive settings? You can mark your reply as private.Regards,

If there is poor network connectivity between your webserver at the time that UpdraftPlus is asking Google Drive “does this folder exist?” then UpdraftPlus might not get an answer. In response to that, rather than aborting the backup (which could have bad results, if you ended up needing it), it will attempt to create a new folder. Google Drive has an odd feature that it is happy to have lots of folders with the same name. To mitigate this, when a backup successfully completes, UpdraftPlus will attempt to examine for multiple folders, and to merge them. So either you just need to wait for this to happen, or something is causing that to not succeed.
Please, for a backup that has this issue currently – i.e. more than one folder existing at the end of a backup – please can you paste a link to the backup log file so that we can take a look? (Use something like https://pastebin.com to post the logfile).
Thank you,

you mean these files
https://prntscr.com/utzbsvthanks
October 6, 2020 at 10:05 am #676670udadminKeymasterYes. Or if you are using a report email, it is attached to the report for the specific backup; or you can use the “Log” button in the UpdraftPlus settings tab.

Unfortunately, that does not give us the information need to investigate. I need exactly the things listed, i.e. your confirmation that the issue exists *currently* for a specific named Google Drive folder, together with the log file of the most recent backup that relates to that folder.

The date we started using gdrive is September the 10th (the first day a backup was uploaded), the issue currently exists for this website, just today I cleaned up gdrive again and merged all the 4 in one folder.
October 6, 2020 at 10:26 am #676694udadminKeymasterThank you. Please can you also link a screenshot of the UD settings for the site that is creating this backup?

Can you confirm that multiple copies of “seejh/seejh” exist? I can see from the screenshots sent so far that multiple copies of “seejh” exist, but I can’t see that the subfolder inside that one “seejh/seejh” exist. (I can see that you use “seejh” as a container folder for various websites, so the parent “seejh”‘s multiple existence may not be related to the specific website that you’ve sent me log files for).
