Hi, I’ve just migrated my site (old hoster) to the new site (not yet activated) with the UpdraftPlus Migrator tool. All seem to look fine, but my images have not been taken over. I haven’t found an option to create a backup of just my images in Updraft and upload it back again on the new site, can you please give me a hint how I can do that? I will otherwise mean a heck of extra work if I need to do this manually from scratch for each article on my blog…!

The images are stored in the Uploads backup section. Could you try restoring that part of the backup again? It is possible that the restoration was timed out before it could process this part of the backup. You will also need to restore the ‘Others’ section.
If that doesn’t work, could you please send us a copy of the restoration log? This can be found in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of the site via FTP. The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Pastebin or Dropbox, and post the link here. You can also set your reply to private.

Thank you for your quick reply! Indeed I had a lock out from WordPress, which irritated a bit, but after logging back on again everything seem to go through smoothly. However, I will follow your advice tomorrow and let you know the outcome.
Best Regards,

Just reviewed my old site – indeed I had excluded the uploads from the original backup. I had always issues with my provider with time-outs (the main reason why I move today!), that’s why I had to minimize the backup packages. So I’ve made a single uploads backup this morning, downloaded it from Dropbox to the local drive and tried to add it to the migration process in the destination site. But Updraft tells me I would need the migrator tool to do this (???) I’ve thought I’ve bought the tool just yesterday? Does it only work once?

If you have already restored your plugins, it is possible that the version of UpdraftPlus on the site is now the older version with no Migrator add-on.
Please could you reinstall UpdraftPlus and the Migrator add-on? A fresh download is available in the Installation Guide:
