Media not coming through after cloning

Hello,

I have cloned my website out to start testing changes. Most everything looks good, but the media isn’t populating. I checked the Uploads in the Back-up that was created in the new site and it has all of the images there. For some reason they just aren’t linking properly.

I’m getting a notification at the top of the screen that I have a restoration in process that hasn’t finished. When I click “Continue restoration” I get this information that a particular image couldn’t be pulled:

“Error data: uploads/2013/04/Joanne-Merinar…jpg”
“Error message: could not extract file from archive.”

Any advise?

Hi Christian,

It appears that the restoration is failing due to the filename/images that has sequential dots. Are you using WP 4.8.2? Because this issue was due to changes made during this version. It refuses to unzip a zip file that contains a file containing ‘..’ anywhere in the name.
