Hi – I have a problem getting UpdraftPlus Premium to install and run. I’m using them successfully on several sites already, so not a complete newbie. Site involved is http://www.avenueacoustic.com

Basically I set up a WP installation in a subdirectory (site) while I developed it, and added UpdraftPlus and the Premium pack as normal. No matter what I did I couldn’t trigger backups, so I assumed it was because it was a protected subdirectory, hidden from robots, etc.

I’ve now put the site live and pointed the WP index file at the installation in ‘site’. Still no luck with backups. So I deactivated, deleted and re-installed UpdraftPlus in case it wasn’t recognising the directory structure. That’s brought me back to my pre-existing settings (including Dropbox link).

Then went though the normal process of uploading the complete zip for Premium and it’s not being recognised (not showing on the WP menu).

    Now I’m stumped. Any Ideas?

Order number is #1159 – you’ll see this installation was originally registered for http://www.avenueacoustic.com/site – happy to use one of my other available instances for the domain without ‘site’ as extension if this is fixable.

    Thanks

    Laurie

    Hi Laurie,

Yes… on this, see this FAQ (which a link appears for when you start a backup): https://updraftplus.com/faqs/my-scheduled-backups-and-pressing-backup-now-does-nothing-however-pressing-debug-backup-does-produce-a-backup/

Are you on a multisite install? If so, then look on the Network dashboard. If not, then have you activated the plugin from the Plugins page? If you have, then you need to confirm that the directory you uploaded to is wp-content/plugins/updraftplus and not something different.
