Premium to Free version – any issues?

Hi

I have a client who wants to take over their site but doesn’t want to pay for the facility of the premium plugin. Is it possible to un-install the premium version and re-install the free version? Are there any issues to be aware of? Thanks.

Hi,

The premium version can be uninstalled and the free version installed without losing your settings or backups.

The free version of the plugin is available here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/

If using multiple storage locations (or a premium storage location), you will need to update your storage settings. The free version will also not be able to restore any WP Core backups.
