I built a new website for a college as part of a sub-directory of my own website. The college uses a WP multi-site setup through WPEngine to host their college site (they have others also .. but it is this one that I building a new one for them.

Now that I have completed the site, I attempted my usual use of the UpdraftPlus migrator and it wouldn’t work. So, I followed the recommendation of the UpdraftPlus notice and purchased the Premium version. I have never worked with a multi-site situation.

I am still unable to get the single-site to migrate to the current multi-site. The instructions stated that after I uploaded and installed the premium version, there would be an “update” that I should perform. I never saw any update notification.

Can someone please help with this.

    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

What is the version number for the plugin on both the single site and multisite?

At what point in the migration does the process fail?

The UpdraftPlus version on the backuped single site is 1.14.13. The premium version installed on the multi-site location (to receive the migration files) is the most current.

The “error” I get is actually a warning that I am attempting to put a single-site onto a multi-site framework.

I attempted to run the migration, and it timed out. It appears that the problem is with WPEngine, the hosting company that the WP multi-site platform is on. They have geared down something and won’t change it. So, my Premium version is of no use to me.

Anyone else have problems with WPEngine?

    Hi,

Does the version on the multisite end with a ‘0’ (no add-ons activated) or ’24’ (all add-ons activated)?

If you believe that UpdraftPlus will not be able to meet your needs, you can request a refund via our customer support form.
