Restore Problem – Uploads and Others

Hi,

I am trying to restore a site onto the same server however Updraft appears to be hanging on the unpacking of uploads – it has been 30 – 45 mins or so mins now.

I understand that I can restore the uploads to the uploads dir by FTP but am unsure where to put the others.zip file.

Also I presume I should click the dismiss option in the dashboard just before I ftp ?

Grateful for a quick reply if poss as this is a clients site.

Hi Stephen,

It sounds like the webserver has a PHP timeout that’s lower than the amount of time needed to unpack the zip. Unzipping + uploading manually is the right thing to do. The contents of “others” go directly in wp-content (i.e. no subdirectory).

It doesn’t really matter whether you dismiss the “unfinished restore” message or not; it’ll vanish itself after 24 hours.
