Hello
I would like to use this as my backup policy:
– Full backups weekly
– Incremental backups in between
– Only keep incremental backups since the prior full backup
– Keep weekly full backups for 2 months
– Database backups to be in sync with File backupsCan you let me know exactly which settings on the plugin will achieve this? I am am confused with what I see…
Hi Matthew,
You can do this all in the UpdraftPlus “Settings” tab.
You can set the backup for database and files to “Weekly”, set the day and time you want the weekly backups to run as well as how many backups you would like to retain.
The for the incremental backup, you can also set it to “daily” or depending on how frequent you want it to run.
If you want to keep full backup for 2 months, then you must set the backup retention to 8.
You can set the same rules for the database if you want it to be in sync.
