    Hi,

    I have a website with Updraft installed and then a /blog/ subdirectory with it’s own WordPress install.

    When backing up the main website, is this also backing up the /blog/ subdirectory?

    Hi Aaron,

    It will back up the files in the subdirectory, if you select the option to back up “WordPress core (and any other data in the same directory)”, unless you (which is recommended in this case) add blog to the list of things to exclude from that option.

    Thanks for your response David. If I exclude blog from the back up, if I were to restore the back up would it remove/overwrite the /blog/ subdirectory?

    Hi Aaron,

    It’d just ignore it. Things in the top-level folder aren’t moved if not present in the backup set.
