Hi,
Since about a month ago I started having problems with Updraftplus backups (which I didn’t notice at first as I run it on a schedule). But my backups won’t finish anymore. I’ve tried to backup to both my Dropbox and FTP and it just suddenly quits after about 50 minutes. In the error log I can read this information:
3031.902 (10) [Updraftplus] The backup is being aborted for a repeated failure to progress.
3031.905 (10) An error condition has occurred for the first time during this jobI’ve tried to:
– Split backup to 25Mb
– Disable Cloudflare Firewall
– Put Wordfence in Learning Mode
– Deactivated pluginsI’ve also spoken to my hosting provider and they say the server resources should be efficient.
My server information:
PHP Version – 7.4.6
max_execution_time 900
max_input_vars 50000
memory_limit 512 MbCan you please help me with this issue?
Best wishes

Please could you send us a copy of the latest full backup log?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.
The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.Regards,

Could you please ask your host/server admin to check on the PHP error log. It should have the exact information about the issue you are having.

I asked them several days ago about the PHP error log but they haven’t provided me with any information. Is there some other way to move forward? I really don’t know what to do. It worked fine until the middle of August.September 9, 2020 at 3:26 pm #657400Bryle CroduaModeratorHi Ida,
Please can you check if the latest version 2.16.29 helps fix the issue?

I’ve got the latest version installed (2.16.29.24), but there’s no change. The backup still suddenly quits after about 50 minutes.September 10, 2020 at 9:12 am #658037Bryle CroduaModeratorHi,
Please can you provide us again a copy of the backup?

Please could you add the following to your wp-config.php file:
set_time_limit(900);
In the case that some other mechanism is lowering the PHP maximum execution time, this will attempt to reset it to 900 seconds.
Please could you also enable the UpdraftPlus debug mode (found in the expert settings section of the Settings tab)?
Then, please could you attempt a new test backup? If you have time, please could you also attempt a backup excluding the Uploads?
Does this backup complete correctly?Best Wishes,
