Plugin Will Not Update

I’ve been unable to update since v.x.16.15 was rolled out. I think I know what I happening but wanted to clarify. I had previously purchased the Time & Scheduling add-on. It appears that the core plugin (Updrafts Plus), a free plugin, will no longer update since the add-on apparently requires an annual renewal fee.

1) Nowhere at the time of the purchase or in any messages from UpdraftsPlus did it or does it currently state that the add-on would only be supported for 1-year and that it would require an annual renewal to receive updates.

2) More importantly, why would a customer that has made a purchase from UpdraftsPlus be penalized by being blocked from the ability to update the free plugin while all those that haven’t provided a cent to your company continue to be able to update the UpdraftPlus plugin?

Hopefully, I am missing something here as, at the very least, I should be able to update the core plugin & I would also expect to receive updates for the add-on that I purchased as nowhere was it stated that the add-on would require annual renewal fees to receive future updates.

I have run a WordPress site for many years, using dozens of both free & paid plugins & add-ons over the years. Unless stated otherwise (annual renewal required), it is assumed that a purchased of a premium plugin will receive updates for the life of the plugin.

Please advise.
