Hi I have been using updraftplus for 3yrs now.
The lowest time possible to set the backup frequency is each 4-hours.
I think for people using the high plan of updraftplus, we SHOULD BE ABLE to set a custom time for the backup frequency. In an ecommerce context, where data is updated on the minutes and seconds, having a backup frequency of each 30mins or 1hr, IS CRITICAL.
I await your response on this.
PS: Tell me why this feature is not built-in right from the start? I can’t believe this did not make sense early on.
Here’s how to do that: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-can-i-add-any-new-scheduling-interval-to-updraftplus/
hi, thank you for the temporary solution pointed above.
But it’s more convenient to have it as free textbox within the updraft dashboard.
Why can’t this be done in the dashboard? (just so I get context)
cheers

There are huge numbers of things that different people want to do with UD. (We have over 2 million active installs). Lots of them can be achieved via adding a filter or WP-CLI or some-such. They get considered for being added to the dashboard UI based on demand. (This “ideas” board helps us to gauge demand, as do the support channels). If we added everything that’s somehow possible in UD, then the settings panel would look like the control panel of an aircraft.
Hi
No problem to add some snippet as indicated above, but after some tests, I cannot figure out how to get:
– Files backup every hour with a 30 minutes incremental backup
– Database backup every 30 minutes
For an online shop, when you add products several times per day, my customer does not want neither to lose orders nor new products in case of “problem”.
Other question, how would it be possible to run those very frequent backup for example from 8 AM to 1 AM, and other frequency for the rest of the day.
Kind regards
Thierry
