Logfiles: Copy the logfiles to external storage

I use FTP as external storage. The ZIP-files are copied, but the log files of the backup are kept on the source website and are not transferd to the FTP-Server.

It would be great if the log files of the backups are also copied to the external storage. In my opinion this is interessting, to watch the log files even if the source website is gone. And it is easier to watch, if all backup files are at one place.

    Hi,

You can get the email emailed to you, if you use the existing setting for that. Is that useful enough?

      Hi

      Thanks for your answer.
E-Mail is not really solve this issue for me, because then the Backup-Files and the Log-Files are still on different places (FTP + E-Mail). When I backup a few Websites It’s getting confusing to manage all the files.

I know it is a bit complicated to copy the log file, because the logs are written in that file during backup. And it’s even more confusing to write a log, that the log file has moved/copied. :-)
Maybe it is possible to copy the log file as the very last step of the backup task?
It would also be a good idea, if the logfiles of all websites are stored in the updraft central. Maybe that is easier to implement. In this case, it should be possible to define the path on the updraft central in a input field. Then I can save it at a place, where I can easily use/move/copy them.

      What do you think?

      Michael
