[Problematic] Download all zips combined into one

Why on Earth you don’t have a ‘Download All’ option is beyond me. Many people use Softaculous where we can download entire .zip files on the backend to our local machines.

Thinking of server hard drive failure or worse, it would be nice to have a button either on the Mothership or the Children so that users can download the entire archive to our local machines once in awhile.

I just started using your software today so I thought I’d put my 2 cents in with 20 yrs. experience. Otherwise, great job. It has much potential! :)

PS – You might also consider that some ppl use larger fonts on their PCs [DPI and such], so the UpdraftCentral frontend, and its responsiveness is terribly jumbled.

    Hi,

Thanks for your feedback! There isn’t a button to “download one archive”, because there isn’t one archive. To be able to download one archive, UD would have to then unzip the archives (plugins/themes/uploads/etc.), and then re-zip them into a single archive. That will work terribly badly on a lot of resource-constrained webhosts, or if your site isn’t small. (That’s the reason for the split in the first place… nobody wants to pull back 2GB of uploadsmedia from Dropbox just to restore one plugin. i.e. Both ways – having a single archive, or splitting – have pluses and minuses).
