    Hello,

    one month ago i moved a site with updraftplus to a new server. I had a break working on the site and want to continue now.

    I had to delete the updraft installation. Now, trying to install it again, I got the mentioned error code “Aktualisierung fehlgeschlagen”. Sorry for using German. It says something like “updating not successful”.

    What can I do to install and make back-ups again?

    Hi Stefan,

    The best solution is to manually remove ‘updraftplus’ folder via FTP from the ‘wp-content/plugins/’ directory.

    After removing the old UpdraftPlus plugin, you can install the plugin via WordPress dashboard. Please ensure to download a fresh copy of the plugin from our install guide here.

    You will not lose your backups and settings when re-installing plugin.
