    Hello
I am looking for some help with the business 10 site premium package i just purchased as not sure if working correctly.

In effect i just want to 1) back up the website, 2) save on my computer, 3)then if ever a problem with the server upload it to a new server.

Now for 1) I downloaded the zip from updraft and uploaded and installed on a new website which never had updraft before.now if i goto settings it says “You are presently connected to an UpdraftPlus” but if as instructed i click on the “all add ons” below it just links to this page https://updraftplus.com/shop/updraftplus-premium/ asking me to pay again, even if logged into website or not. So I’m not sure if i am connected correctly.

For 2) if I back up and click on existing back ups i see all the different zips to download, database, themes etc. I can download all but i believed i saw if we premium you can download all with the wordpress also, is this because I’m not connected properly or just not possible.

For 3) i have read info here https://updraftplus.com/faqs/restore-site-updraftplus/
But again confused as said i have to upload new wordpress but like i said with premium did not think you needed to install worpress again.

even if i did have to i understand click “restore” and will add all zip back ups but how does that then connect to the new wordpress database?

Thanks if you can help, but also not sure why i needed to buy premium as seems same with and without to me if have to re upload wordpress.

    Hi Paul,

    1) After connecting your site to the account, do you see a link to activate All Addons (as shown in step 4 of the installation guide)? If not, please could you try temporarily deactivating the other plugins on the site and checking again?

2)Yes, with Premium you can also backup the WordPress core files. This option should be available in the setting after the add-ons are correctly activated

3)You can restore the backup on an existing site. If doing so, jst skip the unneeded steps of the restoration guide.
WordPress connects to the database using the database credentials stored in the ‘wp-config.php’ file.

    Hello

So for 1) YES i see the links to activate all add ons,
Also if i login to my account and i go to purchases it has a list of the add ons but also states that no purchases have been made, even though i have been sent a sales invoice by email. I think this is the issue and why it wants me to pay again. Do you gave a contact email for billing? As i can only see links to forums.

For 2) ok so thats good

For 3) i used to use back up buddy and when migrating you had to input details for the new database when moving to new server – you set up a new database, migrate, then input new database details so it all connects. So I’m not sure what you mean when you say the details are in the wp-config file as these will be the old database details not the new ones. I just want to be sure as if necessary for me to migrate want to be sure what to do. Do you input the new database details somehow and do you have to set up a new database on the server.

    Thanks

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

Please could you open new support ticket here:
    https://updraftplus.com/paid-support-requests/

Could you include the URL for this thread, and ask for it to be assigned to David N? I will then be able to check your account and purchases.

When migrating, UpdraftPlus does not migrate the wp-config.php file by default, so the old database details are not brought across. We have a full step by step migration guide available here:
    https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-do-i-migrate-to-a-new-site-location/

    Best Wishes,
    David N
